Tourist Visa Question

  • It says that you can stay for up to 6 months in canada for a tourist visa, and to extend it you must apply in canada, or leave canada and re-enter. So couldn't you just keep driving down to the US, and driving up again? And like stay forever??? (sorry if its a stupid question)

When it talks about re-entering I think that means you have to re-enter under a new visa. You'd have to leave the country then wait to get a new visa, i dunno if you could do that from the states.... cause you'd be there illegally. Then when the new visa comes in you can come in again.

  • RE-ENTER

RE-ENTERING MAY ALSO MEAN THAT YOU HAVE LEFT THE COUNTRY (I.E. BY PLANE) AND THEN COME BACK. ONLY WITH A VALID STUDENT/VISITOR VISA, YOU CAN REENTER (AND OF COURSE, IF THE VISA ALLOWS MULTIPLE ENTRIES
