Clarification on residency and establishing company

• Hi,
  
  My husband and I fell in love with Budapest when we went on our honeymoon and are interested in setting up our lives there. We are non EU nationals.
  
  We would like to register a company and also purchase an apartment. The question is, if we register our company, buy an apartment, does this give us the residency or is that a completely different procedure? I'm assuming when we register company and buy property to live in, that would give us the residency within this process.
  
  Any useful info on this would really help.
