Pregnancy and babycare

• I am a Westerner and I am pregnant and my husband is working in Oman. I would like to stay with him and give birth to my child in Oman. Would this be a good idea?

  My wife is also pregnant and we will be in OMAN after 30 days. Is there good condition for a pregnant woman? Will we encounter any major problems if our baby will get born there ? Will our baby have our citizenship or he will be "omani" citizen only ?

  Hi,
  The health care facilities are excellent in Oman, There are some premium clincis and hospitals like Welcare, Muscat Private hospital who have excellent staff to support you.
  The child will not get Omani citizenship but will have the same citizenship as the parents

  My daughter is currently studying to be a midwife in the uk. She is in her final year and would like an observational placement of 4 weeks during the summer in a maternity hospital in Muscat.

  I am pregnant and will soon move to Muscat, Oman. I would like to give birth in Oman, but am wondering about the costs. I will not be under my husband's health insurance and can't receive maternity care from international travel insurance. Any idea how much it would cost to give birth in Oman?
