• 3 years contract

  I am working here in saudi Arabia for the past 27 months as a computer operator. Our company and manpower company in our country Nepal have made 3 years contract instead of 2 years defying the saudi Law. According to saudi law , all the contract should be 2 years. We came here and sign the contact in a hurry. last month I got phone call from my family that my father is seriously ill. I gave my company notice 4 months earlier that I want to go home but the company is refusing to send me saying that you have a 3 years contract and you have only worked 27 months. I need to go to my country at any cost coz my father is very sick and I am the only person in the family to take care of everything.. I have already stopped work and I am staying in the room for the past 1 months doing nothing. I am getting mad and I am sure I will die if I stay like this for another week. I am held prisioner here.   This is abdul hameed iam working as a Computer operator in a private company in KSA..I came here before 7 months from India my profession is IT Engineer my agent told me u r going to work in IT field and your salary will be 2500 SR.After i came here they gave me a sales man job and my salary is 1250 SR. • Transfer of Company

  Dear Sir,
  I had worked with my previous employer for last three (3) - years. Then I decided to go on final exit and come back to a new company. I have requested to my previous employer to issue a NOC for me. They agreed and asked me to pay money to have a NOC.
  
  In conclusion, I have received the NOC with the sticker of Chamber of Commerce from my contract manager by the instruction of General Manager.
  
  Now, I am with my new employer since last 5 months. Recently, What I heard that my previous employer wants to file a case against me by preparing some forge documents.
  
  My question is; will it affect on me if the previous employer files a case against me with the forge documents?

  Sir,my brother went there in saudi arabia past 2 years ago.He got visa of heavy driver from Saleh Al-Sudais company.He got road accident there near Al-Qasim and spent 4 months in hospital then the Egyption managers send him back to pakistan on sick leave,after 2 months he died by the cause of that accident.Now he has 7 little children and 1 wodow here in pakistan and they have nothing to spend their lives.Please is there any rule of insurance companies or the sudais company pay them some money so they can live their life easily.

  I working with company (COMPUTER PROGRAMMER) since 1999 and i have given transfer , and in 2004 my contract was expired, and i had given end of contract notice but my company did't agree to give release (transfer) to new employee. so i came back to my old company, and I have signed new contract started work from jan 2005 for five years but in my contract there is clause written I can leave after three years,

• Need Advice

  Iam a retail professional with large experience. I was called from India by a Dubai retail chain who has a joint venture with a reputed group in Saudi. The reception and treatment was excellent from the local group ever since I landed, which is over 4 months. Contract is made locally according to the Saudi law. But the Dubai group who has issued me the appointment letter has failed to start the project which I was called for and had told me that they cannot accomodate me anymore. But this was done with a short notice and they have clearly stated in their mail expressing their inability as the reason for terminating the contract. I would like to know if I stand a chance to go to the labour court and claim the compensation for the entire contract period, as I was just called here from a decent job back home and was dumped in the middle of recession.

  Am Rafek working Jubail in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  Sir, since the last 10 months am working in one of the manpower company,my visa also belongs to the same company, now the management especially the branch manager is Saudi,yesterday he took my iqama and licence, my identity card
  after this one he give me one memo for the termination and on that memo there is mentioned since the 13/04/2009 to terminated from the company but i should stay here in the kingdom 3 months without salary and after the three months company will not give the transportation charges, I sign that memo because otherwise he will make me trouble for myself,
  Now I dont know what is the solution for this matter I cannot work here because of suspicious mind and mental torchering,
  The actual reason is that he is suspecious to with me also with each workers of him.
  So with all kind of respect can you please give me the suggestion to get my right,

• Vacation Salary

  Assalamu Alaikkum, Sir, I am Ahmed worked as Admin. Asst. in SABIC through sub- contracting company through SABIC Global Contract. I was completed my 2 year + 2 months contract with SABIC. Due to company closure I left that company. Prior to leave the company My Invoice Verification Certificate for Vacation Salary an Approved by Manager on 22/12/08 Service Entry Sheet # number issued against company invoice on 1/Dec./08. Due to company closure my manager also left to Jubail. All my IVC approved & cleared before he leave and meanwhile me left the company and go for vacation to India.
  After that the company supervisor was blocked my approved vacation salary through system. (As per SABIC policy the employees working under global contract will be eligible for a one month paid vacation for every 12 months of completed service). I completed my 14 months service and my Manager was approved my vacation salary and Invoice verification Certificate issued. Due to company closure only reason me left the company.
  Later, my 8 days salary was blocked by contracting company now I lost my vacation salary and 8 days salary too.
  The below documents are available with me.
  Approved Invoice Verification Certificated by Manager,
  Demobilization letter due to closure,
  Sabic policy for vacation salary.
