How long does it take to decide about an application(student visa to uk)?

  I have submitted visa form on the September 9, as soon as I had met all the pre-requisites for applying for a student visa. As stated, the processing time for visas is 10 to 15 working days and to this day Iam stuck with absolutely no hope, with a gloom of uncertainty.
  
  I have been regularly tracking my visa online, visiting the VFS website but no updates yet. Can you guys please tell me, how long will it take for BDHC, Chennai to consider my application and grant visa. I have already missed reporting session and needs to make it to London for late entry which is next week and I hope by then I will have my visa.
