HELP!!! I don't get it!

• I just moved to England to marry my fantastic husband. The only problem with that is I am struggling a bit to understand things. I find it difficult to make friends that aren't my husband's, I don't understand how things work so I am very frustrated. I feel very alone sometimes (no offence to my husband, but he just doesn't get it), and I was hoping that someone out there is from America, and lives here now, and can help me through this difficult transition time.
