• The Mehdorn "scandal" has been bizarre. The German media have whipped up a populist storm about the poor people who had the bank accounts "raped" by DB. But nothing about the DB employees who steal money (even an entire locomotive) from their employer. In the english-speaking world and most the rest of the world little children lean that it is wrong to steal, and you might get punished, and it's your fault if you steal - not the people you stole from. But apparently, these Germans are victims, so they don't need morals.
