Berlin Hotels

• We will be visiting Berlin the end of August for three nights. Can anyone recommend a four to five star hotel? We appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

  I can recommend the Derag Hotel Grosser Kurfuerst near Museum Island. It's a four star hotel and the suites and apartments are very comfortable.
  We've stayed here four times and normally have an apartment as we have two children. It's right next to Markisches Museum U-Bahn and about a 20 minute walk to the station at Alexanderplatz.
  It's very convenient for Museum Island, boat trips along the Spree, the Television Tower, the nearby Nikolaiviertal (which is full of little bars, restaurants and shops) and not far from the major sights such as the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden and Potsdamer Platz.
  The staff at the hotel are very friendly and there's a lovely bar and great restaurant.
