Living with a German family...

• I want to go as an aupair to Germany and live with a German family. But I'm a little bit scared because I've heard that Germans are very strict in everything... I mean I don't have anything against rules etc., but I also want to enjoy my stay in Germany. Anybody has some experience with German families??

• That depends on the family!!

  I think your experience will very much depend on the type of family. As in most countries, there are quite a lot of differences in living styles in Germany. For example, you might end up in a tiny village in a conservative, catholic region of Bavaria. Or you live with post-modern family in Berlin and have complete freedom. However, most aupairs find their experience in a German family a pleasant one. And if you go with one of the many aupair-organizations, so can always change families if things don't go along.
