work permit

  • to Christian:
As a EU citizan you just need to bring your passport, and take a rental contract or deed of ownership of a house in holland and just register at the municipal offices where the house is located. The next step is a trip to the tax office authorities to get a tax number -called Sofi number.
judging by your mail address: enjoy the coffeshopsblunk i like'em too..

regarding the nursing job in Rotterdam. You will not make that kind of money in the Netherlands unless you are a specialized nurse i.e. cardiology, trauma, etc. also bear in mind that at that groos income level reoughly 46% goes straight to the income tax man. rents and property are expensive. the weather is horrendous and the people have become quite unfriendly over the last 10 years. think very carefully about any potential move

general comment work permits: unless you are an eu citizen or what the dutch consider 1st world nation (just see if you need a visa to visit), i'd advise you to forget about the whole thing. only very specialized jobs backed up by an employer paying top dollar qualify. the dutch immigration services are probably the most racisit disgusting people you will ever deal with. Believe me I know because i'm dutch and went thru the procedure for my south african wife

    good luck
