Now I have to think twice
-
I am waiting for a job offer in a couple of days or so from an employer in Dubai. I am a Black man, highly educated(British), and a school in Dubai wants to offer me an appointment as a teacher.
After reading all these negative experiences that Black people have gone through, I begin to be put off. But I am a "fighter". I have lived in South Africa in the 90s and fought head on. I want to teach English and French to these young arabs and my desire is to change the stereotypes about Black people. I want to "shock" them with an endless list of Black inventors, Black mathematicians, black scientists, black astronauts, doctors who have made a real contribution to the world.Godfrey Kisela, International Affairs 18 Lug 2008, 12:26 - Denuncia
